I'd just like to point out that this is not the first time AB made a big helmet catch. He did it as a rookie in 2010 in the playoffs vs. Baltimore. Huge bomb on 3rd & long catch late in the 4th to set up the winning TD. Ben hit AB for like 50 yards and he caught it against his helmet near the sideline.

I was remembered it as well. It was huge. AB had a few huge plays tonight. That was one of them. Worth every penny.

Remembered that as well. I watched the tape of yesterday's game when I got home very late last night and I was wishing they would show a clip of that catch. It was when we were fawning all over the other "2" members of "Young Money" and A-B stepped up and said not so fast Wallace and Sanders, I came here to play.

At the time I think they called it the "boom-box" catch.

At the time, Brown was the runt, but certainly ended up,as the pick of the litter.

I just posted the 2010 playoff game vs. Baltimore.

AB makes his "original" helmet catch at the 2:24:05 mark.

2010 AFC Playoffs Steelers 31 vs Ravens 24

It's truly amazing that a) the rookie AB got the call considering he'd only caught 16 passes all year, b) that he was able to get behind Baltimore's prevent defense with 8 men deep and c) that he made the clutch catch the way he made it. It was the biggest play of his life at the time. Simply fantastic.  Smokin

one of the criticisms I've had about the steelers the last few years was their inability to hit on later round draft picks. Wasn't AB a 6th round pick? This year you have Watt, Connor, and JU JU playing a lot. i believe Rogers was an undrafted free agent. Chickillo was taken in a later round. Things have picked up

Nice observation. We do seem to be getting solid contributors early and late recently. Not sure if we're doing anything differently (it's still Colbert and company) or we're just having better luck.

2007-2010 for sure. We were lucky if we got one pick to stick in those years. The last three years have been stellar drafts.

I am just so glad Mike Wallace was too greedy or dumb to sign the original contract offer. If he had we may never have had the pleasure of watching one of the greatest WRs ever to play for the Steelers.
