I'm a little lost on this one? I thought first time offenders were fined. Second time is fine and suspension?

I was afraid of that but it doesn't surprise. First the patriot fan base almost immediately starting whining after the play. Then, Jon Gruden wouldn't let it go, he bitched and moaned about it even after the game was over. Lastly, the NFL is doing everything right now to cover its own ass. There won't be an NFL as we know it in 5 years.

That's garbage. That was a clean hit. If it weren't for his standing over him and Gruden's overreaction he doesn't get suspended.
Period. For Gruden to bitch about JJSS while at the same time blowing Burfict all night was a joke. |

It's hard to understand how Gronk can get one game for a flagrant hit outside of a play and Juju gets the same for a hit within the game. Taunting aside one was meant to harm while the other was part of a regular football play at full speed. I think the commish got this one all wrong. I don't object to penalize both but the Gronk hit surely deserves a harsher punishment.

So f-ing stupid. It's because the pansy-ass announcers went so crazy about it. I was waiting for them to start sobbing mid-sentence while talking about how "evil" Juju was for doing something that happened routinely for the first 80 years the sport was played.
ESPN is staffed by a bunch of snowflakes. Roger Goodell's deepest desire is to be adored by snowflakes. They're ruining the sport because they're afraid what people might say about what meanies they all are. "Football is too violent and mean." ![]() STFU. ![]() |

So JuJu as a first time offender got suspended.
And we play Goodell's Ravens this week, on a short week too. Purely coincidental I'm sure. ![]()

I read Ju-Ju is appealing. You can thank Gruden and his side-kick last night for this. Lost all respect for Gruden, he acted like he never saw an NFL game before.
Where was all the concern when Burfict kicked Nix in the face earlier in the year? Next - Minkah, #39! ![]() |

AB has just reported he will be paying Ju-Ju's fine.

Well, it is what is. In the overall scheme of things, what JuJu did needed to be done, some thing the league didn’t have the “nads to do. And so he’s paying the price.
Was it suspension worthy? In today’s game yes. Hits to the helmet are going to be flagged. The taunting post hit, not a Mensa type moment. The same goes you the hit on AB, but what I don’t get is the Gronk hit is only worth one game. Juju, and Ilukia”s hits were football plays. Gronk’s was deadball thuggery. Big difference, an worthy of a more significant amount of punishment. But as I’ve said about the NFL before, when it comes to matters such as these, it’s not a matter of justice being applied equally, as much as it is how it might effect public relations. |

Actually A-B will pay the fine and Ju-Ju is being celebrated in every locker-room sans Cincinnati (and maybe quietly there as well, Burfict has hurt a few of his teammates in practice and I believe he sucker punched a college team-mate). If Marvin is ever fired this thug will be gone. No place for him in football. The sad part is he has the physical tools to be a decent LB, just not the mental capacity. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]() |

So lopsided the network switched to another game in fear of causing an insomnia epidemic? Seriously, I’m with you on this. I’m tired of trotting to the medicine cabinet for some bi-carb every week. |

2010: Ben's 4th game of suspension? Ravens at #Steelers Ben was 6-1 vs. the Ravens at Heinz at the time of this bullshit and bogus suspension.
January 2011: Goodell leaks confidential details of the Ben investigation to Peter King prior to the Steelers first playoff game, a clear attempt to rock the Steelers boat and distract them. Their first playoff opponent? The Ravens (King foiled Goodell's plan by holding those deteails for later and he unleashed them three weeks later during Super Bowl week) **STEELERS PLAYERS THEN VOTE DOWN THE CBA DUE TO GOODELL'S POWER** 2013: The Steelers are the first team since 2002 to play a road game on Sunday and then a road Thanksgiving game the same week. The Thanksgiving opponent? The Ravens 2017: JJSS suspended, the Steelers next opponent? The Ravens. The Steelers have played the Ravens three times on Thursday following Sunday games the same week since 2013, twice in Baltimore. Twice the Steelers have had Sunday road games before the Thursday game, the Ravens have NEVER played on the road the Sunday BEFORE the Thursday game the same week. Goodell also tried to cover up the Ray Rice fiasco. Rice played for the Ravens. Goodell grew up attending sporting events with his politician father, in Baltimore. This is more crooked than pro wrestling. And what's worse? Art II just stands there and lets Goodell do this to his players AND endorses this ginger fuck face for the job he currently has. As Phil Leotardo said after Johnny Sack flipped: Fucking nauseating.

If we don't have those kinds of games against teams like the Browns then there's something wrong. We beat the god awful Browns this year by three lousy points. Almost lost to the Bengals. Beat Indy by 3. Almost lost to a packers team without Favre. There is something wrong. Without 50 on D we are going to be in big trouble. Tuitt, Heyward, are being gashed by running plays. Watch the tape of the Bengals game first half. BOTH were moved out of the way with ease. Now we have no Shazier? I do not believe we will ever see Ryan play again. I hope not. Once they start sticking rods in your back to stabilize your spine you need to re-think playing football. He will be missed. The most frustrating thing about the Steelers is that next year they will have zero room to sign an impact free agent on D unless Ben retires. If Ben retires with the loss of Shazier I have no idea what this team will look like. I wanted to believe that they see something in Landry but he absolutely sucks when he plays. All this rolls into what the Steelers are at this point. The fact that they don't blow teams out once in a while is indicative of an issue with coaching and players. With everything happening around Shazier this week I look for them to lay down quietly against the Ravens at home and get blown out by the Pats. I am not comfortable with the resilience of this team. Nor am I comfortable with the coaching. If I see Nix on the field the first couple of series against the Ravens I'll know where the game is going. Grimble, Nix, should NOT be out there. We'll see. First two plays against the Ravens? Runs. Hope I'm wrong Maybe it's time to go to a 4 - 3. yeah i know we dont' have the personnel to play it. We'll see how they look in the 3 - 4 against the Ravens

So, like a front 4 of Hayward, Hargrave, McCullers, and Tuitt
LB: Dupree and Watt on the outside, with Williams playing in the middle? I'd prefer that over seeing Matakevich running lost. |

He’s a player that knows exactly what is going on, where everybody needs to be, but just doesn’t have the wheels to get there. As for us running a straight 4-3 as a base defense, I’d rather see Alalu as opposed to Mccullers, but this has as much chance of happening as the Browns winning the Super Bowl this year. |

Love Mike Mitchell's comments. He's on the money. I can't stand the ongoing movement by the media and Goodell to "wussify" the NFL.
