Laundry: hasn't played in over a year:
No Bell, Brown, Pouncey, or Decastro. A third string center that couldn't get him the ball, the worst OC in the game (should have had the sense to put him under center after the 2nd bad snap). 23 of 27, 239 yards, 1 TD, 1 Int. I saw one poor decision, on the int to Peppers. other than than a pretty solid outing. Got the "W". Next - Minkah, #39! ![]() |

Part of it, I think, is just being used to a Hall of Famer under center who makes even "ordinary" plays look special. There is nothing "special" about Jones. Ben makes signature "Ben" plays every week where you just shake your head and smile and say, "Only Ben." Jones runs the plays like a Neil O'Donnell would; nothing special, looks okay on paper, but don't ask for anything above and beyond. I think the frustration with Jones is that we could've easily had them down 21-0 early and didn't. Haley is also a big part of that equation... the play calling when we got stuffed on goal-to-go was pitiful. Pathetic. |

How many bad snaps do you have to see before you put your QB under center. He's the absolute worse OC in the red-zone. You can see the paly calling change immediately. Also, I still think he is a sot. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]() |

“I had discussions with Coach [Tomlin] in the fourth quarter of the Texans game whenever I was out, I was standing on the sidelines talking to him I said, ‘Hey, I’m not sure what your thought is for next week, but I’d love to get some reps if you’re okay with that.’ He kind of looked at me and said ‘Let me think about it, I’ll let you know,'” Roethlisberger said.
Ben didn’t want to share the exact conversations he had with Tomlin, but admitted he tried to argue for some reps but was turned down. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2018/01/0...-playoffs/ |

Tomlin made the right call, no doubt. The Cleveland game was meaningless and you can get hurt on only play, even the 1st one.
IMHO I just wish Ben would filter his conversations witht e media a little better. Some of these comments need to stay in-house. Next - Minkah, #39! ![]() |
